Romance on a budget – 3 dating ideas that you should try
Romance can be expensive, especially if you have kids! There are babysitters to think about and pay and that is before you even look at how much dinner in a nice restaurant will cost plus taxi rides so that you can enjoy the overly priced bottle of wine when you get there. In the current economic times where we are all having to make cut backs, romance on a budget is necessary but thankfully lowering the price doesn’t have to mean lowering the passion or the romance that you get out of it.
- 1. Instead of paying a babysitter to pay the kids when you want to go out for dinner, why not have a plan with other parents that you know in the area where one night per week or a couple of times per month, you take care of each other’s kids so that you can do the romance thing. This means that you get a little helping hand and so do they and let’s face it, everyone needs a little extra romance!
- 2. Again, to prevent paying for the babysitter you could always wait until the kids have gone to bed and then have your romantic time. This will save you a small fortune – taxi rides aren’t needed because you’re not going anyway, a bottle of wine will be so much cheaper bought from the local liquor store than it will from the restaurant and you can cook dinner at home for a fraction of the price. When you look at this as a whole, this romantic meal is a much cheaper option.
- 3. Make use of cheaper dining coupons that you find in the local papers or advertisements for slightly cheaper nights to eat. You will find that most restaurants will have specific days where the food will be cheaper or you can get a meal bundle for a cheaper price. Why not make use of these?
